The Game of Life

This man simply cannot get enough! I tell you- he has become a maniac! Shawn was introduced to the game of Life two nights ago, and he's been wanting to play every night since! He's beaten me 4 of 8 times, and will not let it go.

Tonight was no exception. I went to the bathroom for two seconds, and I came back out to see this! He had set the game up, and he was ready to play BY HIMSELF! He actually started playing by himself, and then I sat down and he allowed me to join. I've created a monster. Should we start on CandyLand? Oh, and notice he made ME the banker!

Workin' Out!

Christmas was kind of a wake up call for me. Looking back at pics, I was grossed out by how I looked. I was at my heaviest weight ever, and I made a goal to never look like that again!! That has been a big focus for me this semester so far. It's been two months, and I'm only down 15 pounds, but it is a start. Shawn has actually created an exercise plan for me to hold to, and I think it will be helpful. Since he used to be a personal trainer, he was willing to start whipping me in to shape for free! It just took me losing a bet on a pool game to get things started. The 6:30 am workouts may kill me, but we'll see how this goes!

Life seems nothing more than a quick succession of busy nothings

This weekend saw some real ups and downs. Work is kicking my trash, Shawn whooped me at pool, and then I killed him in bowling. School is keeping me hopping, and I lost an hour of sleep last night! Grrr! Well, the whole weekend wasn't a loss. I had a great talk with Shawn and he has helped me set some good goals for the next few weeks. We shall see how things turn out!

Don't mess with me!

Today was not a good day health-wise. I woke up with an upset stomach and migraine. NOT GOOD! I knew that dang exercise would make me sick! :) Anyway, Shawn came over for much of the day and just hung out with me. What a guy- he even gave me compliments on how good I looked while being sick!
Well- due to the sickness, of course- at one point I said something a little too sassy and Shawn decided to punish me by tickling. I am one of the most ticklish people in the world, so it was torture. I was trying to get away and accidentally smacked him in the nose and it started to bleed. Yeah, I felt horrible! So this is my punishment. Shawn wanted everyone to know how abusive I am. I am a big jerk that is really strong, and watch out if you meet me in some dark alley!

Come back!

Shawn is officially on a come back from losing so much to me! Saturday night we went bowling again, and I spanked him. Just wiped the floor with him. But then over the last few days, he has worked me in pool, Uno, and even Skip-Bo! Granted, he formed alliances in the card games against me, but really?! What happened to my winning streak? I am so ashamed . . .

In other news, Shawn is also trying to get my butt in shape. As a former personal trainer, he gets antsy if he doesn't work out all the time. He used the missionary commitment strategy and got me to workout for 30 mins after work last night. Stupid me, I then talked to my roommates and we agreed to go workout at 6:30 this morning! What was I thinking? I just don't know. I'll keep you updated on the soreness factor. It'll be good.

Finally Hung!

Hey guess what?! My gallery clock that was my bday gift from my friends is finally hung on the wall!!! I was having a semi-bad day at the office, and Lindz and Shawn decided to do something nice for me. So they went out to Lowe's and got a hanging kit for the clock that I have been meaning to hang up for over two months! Shawn put the clock on the wall later that night with my help, and now I can enjoy my gorgeous birthday present! Thank you so much ladies (and Shawn)!

Lindz BDay!

Well, Lindz birthday was actually the 28th, but I haven't gotten a post for it yet. So here it is! We had a fun, full day. Shawn made her a birthday apple pie, and was a good sport when I put the pink frilly apron on him. What a stud. The apple pie was good (Shawn made it because he claimed he could make a better apple pie than me), but not as good as mine! Ha!

For dinner, Lindz, Forrest, Krista, and I all went to the Mayan Adventure, a cool restaurant up near Salt Lake that has a South American theme. The whole restaurant is a treehouse, and they have divers that jump from rocks and branches into a waterfall and pool while you eat. I love this place! The food was so good too. Shawn couldn't come because he had to home teach. That is why he's not in the pics!
